Your 3-Step Plan to Start Thinking 10x

  1. Identify Your 20% (Your Unique Ability): What are the top 3-5 activities, procedures, or patient populations that generate the most revenue and the most energy for your practice? This is your zone of genius. Be brutally honest. This is where you should be spending the majority of your time and resources.
  2. Identify Your 80% (Your “Stop Doing” List): Make a comprehensive list of everything else. This includes low-margin services, time-consuming administrative tasks, difficult payers, and any activity that drains your team’s energy and resources. This is your roadmap for elimination. 
  3.  Ask “Who, Not How?”: For every item on your 80% list, resist the urge to ask, “How can we do this better?” Instead, ask, “Who can do this for us?” The path to 10x is paved with delegation and automation. Who on your team can take on routine tasks? What processes can be automated with software? Who can you hire to manage the functions that are not your core strength?
